Summers in Florida are always a blast, except for those dreadful afternoon showers. Here are a few things to do in the Orlando area that are air-conditioned and family-friendly, if it’s raining or the heat is too hot to handle!

Top Golf

Looking to swear off the heat and still enjoy an afternoon of golf? Combine it with some delicious shareable and drinks and find out which family member has the best swing. Topgolf has implemented social distancing, free online reservations to minimize crowds in the lobby, bay dividers, and disinfection of each bay after sessions.

Dave and Buster’s

Game on with your family, but instead of sitting in front of your Xbox all day, sit in front of various arcade games instead. Every Wednesday the venue offers games at half the price, and every day from 4 to 7 p.m., happy hour is served. Customers can not only enjoy hours of games but also feast on “chef-crafted creations.”

Andretti

Andretti offers an evening filled with thrills with opportunities to go-kart, bowl, game at their arcade, complete their ropes and zipline course, dine, among others. They claim to be “Orlando’s most unique entertainment destination” and certainly offer a wide array of thrilling activities that anyone is bound to enjoy.

Orlando Museum of Art

Orlando Museum of Art’s Summer Art Camp begins on June 8 and ensures small class sizes, a clean environment, and safe and creative art activities. Due to the museum’s recent closure, the exhibit “Living Color: The Art of the Highwaymen” has been extended through Aug. 16. Two other exhibits will also be available to guests. The Orlando Museum of Art features collections in American and African arts, Art of the ancient Americans, and contemporary art and graphics.

Sea Life Orlando Aquarium

SEA LIFE Orlando is now welcoming back visitors while implementing an enhanced cleaning regime, hand sanitizer stations throughout the building, and social distancing. In-line capacity will also be limited to government recommendations. SEA LIFE is only accepting contactless payments and debit or credit cards to combat the spread of COVID-19. Although the interactive tide pool and children’s play area remain closed, all other attractions and marine life displays are open.

The escape Game

With a selection of six 60-minute adventures to test your problem-solving and collaboration skills, The Escape Game located in Orlando is sure to show who the cleverest in the family is. The venue has implemented various safety guidelines so that guests remain healthy and safe such as contactless check-in, social distancing, and room sanitization after each session.

Madame Tussauds

Is the perfect opportunity to meet all your favorite celebrities without having to rely on luck. The family-friendly museum has implemented enhanced cleaning regimens and increased cleaning and sanitizing of stations. The museum will only be opened to 25 percent capacity and will only accept contactless payment methods and debit or credit cards.

Mango Tropical Cafe

Looking to enjoy a dinner and show to change up the last few months of TV family dinners? Mango’s Tropical Cafe offers family-friendly glamorous dinner shows seven nights a week. Performances range from Brazilian Samba, Cuban Conga, various Latin beats, Hip-hop, the 80s & 90s hits, and Michael Jackson act. Feathers and costumes are sure to immerse guests into the magical atmosphere and rhythms of the global iconic dances and music styles. Just as acts vary, Mango’s offers a variety of dishes and drinks from all over the world such as Brazilian Churrasco Steak, Lobster Pizza, chicken and shrimp ‘Creole,’ mambo’ jumbo chicken wing and passion fruit lemonade mojito.

Anger Management Rage

Anger Management Rage Room in Orlando is accepting private sessions that are booked online. Sessions are limited to household members or socially distanced groups of three. Visitors may come in with their box of breakables, but the venue can also provide customers with wine bottles, televisions, ceramics, among other breakable items. Guests are encouraged to shatter and smash objects to help cope with stress and tension.
