On June 9, 2022, the inaugural edition of the MICHELIN Guide Miami, Orlando and Tampa was revealed, with inspectors finding four Starred restaurants in Orlando alone, among other honors that further elevate our culinary reputation. Michelin’s recognition of 34 Orlando restaurants, including four starred venues, seven Bib Gourmands and 23 Recommended. MICHELIN STARRED RESTAURANTS IN ORLANDO
According to Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the MICHELIN Guides, inspectors found that Orlando had very much to offer food and wine enthusiasts, with talented chefs and their committed teams creating culinary experiences matched only by the destination’s amazing attractions. In 2022, Orlando earned four One-MICHELIN-Star restaurants. With inspector notes from each, they include:
CAPA STEAKHOUSE & BAR — FOUR SEASONS RESORT ORLANDO AT WALT DISNEY WORLD ®RESORT
MICHELIN Inspector Notes: “At the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World; this steakhouse also flaunts a decidedly Spanish accent. Kick things off with ace tapas before indulging in a main dish, like flame-kissed ribeye with tamarind-ancho sauce.”
SOSEKI MODERN OMASKE — WINTER PARK
MICHELIN Inspector Notes: “This tiny operation with Chef Mike Collantes at the helm is an ideal illustration of a contemporary meal expressed by way of an omakase. A laser-like focus on local Florida produce results in a menu that changes monthly.”
KNIFE & SPOON — THE RITZ-CARLTON ORLANDO, GRANDE LAKES
MICHELIN Inspector Notes: “This iteration from Chef John Tesar inside the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, is the picture of plush. Care and skill are the hallmarks of this team, as they turn out contemporary steakhouse fare woven with seafood.”
KADENCE — AUDUBON PARK GARDEN DISTRICT
MICHELIN Inspector Notes: “The omakase opens with hot dishes and cool sashimi. This is food that’s free-spirited, yet manages to honor the classic methods. Pacing is on point in sashimi like hamachi and hirame. Nigiri, like snapper with lemon and sea salt, will have you yearning for more.”
MICHELIN BIB GOURMAND & RECOMMENDED RESTAURANTS IN ORLANDO
In Orlando, the MICHELIN Guide inspectors found seven restaurants worthy of the Bib Gourmand designation, which recognizes great food at great value. In other words, the sort of place where you can have two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for under $49. In Orlando, they include:
